The College of Engineering organized a highly informative workshop titled “Intro to 3D Printing,” presented by Eng. Abdulla Al-Kanderi, Managing Director at XTRUDE ENGINEERING. Students from the Interior Design Engineering Program, Mechanical Engineering Program, and the Electrical & Electronic Engineering Program, accompanied by their respective instructors, attended the workshop. Eng. Abdulla Al-Kanderi provided a comprehensive overview of 3D printing, explaining its various types, and the materials it can print, and concluding with an exploration of the technology’s advantages and disadvantages. This workshop proved to be extremely beneficial for the students, as it offered them hands-on experience and practical knowledge about 3D printing, enabling them to grasp its fundamentals effectively.
