Teaching & Learning Statement

Dr. Qais Ahmed involves students in understanding the current real-world situations in every course he teaches. He focuses on the relevance and usefulness of the course material. For instance, he always rises up some current cases and issues at the beginning of each course which somehow can be solved and discussed at the end of the course. Therefore, students can be part of these issues and try to solve it after they gain the proper knowledge during the class.

Experience

Dr. Qais is an assistant Professor of Human Resource Management at Gulf University. He is also director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center at Gulf University. He got awarded the best researcher in 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 at Gulf University. He was academic consultant and Program leader for Postgraduate Centre at Limkokwing University as well as Lecture at LINCOLN University, Malaysia. In addition of that, He had supervised on 70 postgraduate students (Master, Ph.D). He was able to teach a variety of classes (at the B.Sc., MBA, and PhD levels), and publish well during his professional years. For PhD in Management students, Dr. Qais appointed as the internal examiner for the Ph.D students in Management. Examiner for the PhD in Management proposal defense stage. In Industry, He has experience 13 years in Oil and Gas sector in Yemen for both personnel and financial affairs.

Research Interest

Dr. Qais’s research interests focus on Human Resource Management, International HRM, Human Resource Development, Organizational Behavior, Research Method, International Marketing, Academic paper in Management at the workplace. The aim of his research is to contribute to the knowledge set of HRM. Moreover, he contributes to the labor market on designing and conducting ethical and effective HRM practices to gain competitive and sustainable advantages and to provide green HR environment.
