As a part of GU’s Community Engagement Centre’s ongoing initiatives, the CE Centre facilitated the utilization of university facilities by two esteemed institutions, namely The Bahrain Society for Human Resources, and Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. The Gulf University hosted the first episode of the podcast series, managed by Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Bana, Chairman of the Board of the Bahrain Society for Human Resources Management. The episode featured Dr. Abdul Hussein bin Ali Mirza, Advisor to the Board of the Holding Company for Oil and Gas. The underlying objective behind providing university facilities for local community institutions is to cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment that mutually benefits all involved. By granting access to a wide array of university resources, including libraries, labs, meeting spaces, specialized equipment, and big hall, the local community institutions gain the opportunity to enhance their programs, services, and overall capacity. This collaborative effort enables the community institutions to leverage the extensive resources and expertise offered by the university, promoting knowledge exchange and fostering a culture of growth and development.

As part of the center’s efforts to enhance positive communication and interaction with the community, one of the halls has been allocated to host the Bahrain Deaf Society with the aim of providing an important training course in sign language. The center’s initiative involved providing the necessary space and facilities to ensure the availability of an effective and inspiring learning environment for the participants. This step is part of the center’s commitment to supporting events and activities that contribute to improving the quality of life for various segments of the community. The course reflects positive strides towards promoting solidarity and effective communication with individuals with special needs.

As part of the center’s efforts to enhance positive communication and interaction with the community, the big Hall and the Sports Stadium at Gulf University have been allocated to host Adon International Articles Company with the aim of organizing important celebrations and events for the company. Providing these facilities allows for opportunities for effective participation and enhances a sense of belonging and social interaction.

This step is part of the center’s commitment to supporting activities that contribute to improving the quality of life for various segments of the community.

As an integral component of GU’s Community Engagement Centre’s continuous initiatives, the CECE Center actively facilitated media coverage for significant events such as the Global Media Congress, the Marathon organized in collaboration with the Bahraini Catalysts’ Disabilities Association, the Second Bahrain Theater Festival, and the Almarai Exhibition Bahrain. With a primary focus on amplifying outreach and awareness, the aim was to underscore the center’s commitment to fostering community engagement and promoting meaningful connections through diverse and impactful events.
