The 5th Charity Art Exhibition
The 5th Charity Art Exhibition and the Sovern Student Charity Art Prize was inaugurated in the Kingdom of Bahrain with the participation of our creative students from Gulf University in this distinguished exhibition that embodies the spirit of community partnership.
Charity Dinner
As part of the community partnership events, and with a generous invitation, representatives from the Gulf University attended a charity dinner hosted by His Highness Sheikh Nasir bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, the representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs. The University’s Community Service and Continuing Education Centre, in collaboration with the Royal Foundation for Humanities, organized the participation of the Gulf University students. These programs embody the University’s determination to activate its role in serving the community.
Bahraini Sports Day
The Community Engagement Centre, in collaboration with SSU and the Student’s Council, organized Bahraini Sports Day.
Bahrain National Day
Gulf University, represented by Prof. Mohanad Ismael Ibrahim Al Fira (President of Gulf University), organized Bahrain National Day on 14 December 2023. The aim of this day is to commemorate the country’s independence and highlight its rich heritage, culture, and national pride. It serves as a time to honor the unity, progress, and achievements of the Bahraini people, as well as to showcase the nation’s history, traditions, and accomplishments.
Bahraini Women Day
Gulf University, represented by Prof. Mohanad Ismael Ibrahim Al Fira (President of Gulf University), Dr. Mohammed Dawwas (Director of Community Engagement Centre), Mrs. Baraa Al-samarai (Head of Admission and Registration), and Mr. Abdullah Imad (head of SUU) organized Bahraini Women’s Day. As part of the event, they chose one student from a pool of 12 nominees to serve as the university president for a day. In addition, Prof. Dr. Mohanad Ismael Ibrahim Al Fira honored the women staff at gulf university. The purpose of this event is to acknowledge and commend the achievements of Bahraini women in diverse fields and sectors, and to provide a platform for promoting gender equality, empowering women, and emphasizing their vital role in the development and advancement of Bahraini society, and to inspire and motivate women to persist in making substantial contributions to the nation’s prosperity and progress.
Capital School Visit
The Community Engagement Center at Gulf University welcomed a delegation from Capital School during their recent visit. The purpose of the visit was to explore the state-of-the-art facilities and advanced technologies employed in delivering educational programs at Gulf University. This exchange highlights the university’s commitment to fostering partnerships and showcasing innovative approaches to education. The collaborative engagement underscores the significance of sharing best practices for the advancement of educational initiatives.
Capital Governorate is Senior Citizens Friendly
Gulf University, through its Sustainability Center and Development Makers, participated in the event “Capital Governorate is Senior Citizens Friendly”, reaffirming its commitment to social inclusion and community development.
Representing the university was Dr. Omar Blibech, Director of the Sustainability Center and Development Makers, who actively engaged in the event’s discussions and activities. As part of the university’s contribution, students from the College of Engineering showcased innovative projects and designs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for senior citizens.
Fiker Training Forum Organized by Customs Affairs
As part of its efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and contribute to knowledge-sharing platforms, Gulf University participated in the Fiker Training Forum, organized by the General Directorate of Customs Affairs. The event brought together experts and stakeholders from across Bahrain to discuss customs practices, youth internship strategies, and community-centered development initiatives.
The University was officially represented by Dr. Marwan Milhem, who contributed to dialogue sessions and collaborative discussions focused on community and institutional development.
Educational Trip to King Fahd Causeway to Explore Governmental Operations
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance practical learning and community engagement, the Community Engagement and Continuing Education Center (CECEC) at Gulf University organized an educational trip to King Fahd Causeway, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Ports Security under the Ministry of Interior.
