25 Years of Excellence: Gulf University Set to Celebrate Its Silver Jubilee on 15 October

Gulf University is preparing to mark a defining milestone in its journey as it celebrates 25 years of academic excellence, achievement and contribution to higher education with a landmark Silver Jubilee celebration on 15 October at its campus in Sanad, finalizing all logistical and media arrangements to organize a historic celebration.

The occasion will bring together the Gulf University community, distinguished guests, officials, members of the Board of Trustees and University Council, academics, strategic partners and friends of the University to reflect on a quarter-century of progress while looking confidently towards the future.

The celebrations will begin at 11:00 AM with an official ceremony attended by prominent figures and officials from across the Kingdom. The programme will continue into the evening with a more informal celebration dedicated to students, academic staff and administrative personnel, reflecting the strong sense of belonging and community that has characterised Gulf University throughout its journey.

Speaking on the historic milestone, Gulf University Founder Prof. Mona bint Rashid Al-Zayani said:

Gulf University reaching its 25th milestone is the embodiment of a forward-looking vision that believed in the importance of investing in people and empowering youth with advanced knowledge and skills. Our journey has been filled with challenges and achievements shaped by dedicated efforts, and we are proud of what the university has achieved today as a towering beacon of science that integrates with the developmental renaissance of our people and the Kingdom.

Gulf University President Prof. Mohanad Al-Firas described the Silver Jubilee not only as a celebration of the University’s achievements, but also as the beginning of an ambitious new chapter:

This silver anniversary represents a new starting point for our academic and research activities. We are preparing to welcome our guests to celebrate our record of achievements and the national and international accreditations we have earned, while the evening celebration serves as a tribute of loyalty and a spark of joy for our students and affiliates who are the core of this success and the continuous driving force toward the future.

The Silver Jubilee programme will also feature documentary presentations tracing Gulf University’s journey since its establishment, recognition of distinguished figures and strategic partners, and the inauguration of new development initiatives and projects aligned with the University’s strategic priorities for its next phase.

More than a commemoration of 25 years, the Silver Jubilee represents a bridge between Gulf University’s proud legacy and its aspirations for the future, celebrating where the University began, what it has achieved and the possibilities that lie ahead.
