Gulf University's Community Engagement and Continuing Education Center (CECEC) recently conducted an advanced workshop addressing sustainability and smart infrastructure. The session focused on integrating artificial intelligence with waste management practices and enhancing recycled material use in construction and infrastructure projects.

The workshop, led by environmental technology specialist Mohammed Allaymoun, equipped participants with practical knowledge in several key areas. Attendees learned to apply AI for efficient waste sorting and recycling analysis, innovate with recycled materials in construction and roadwork, improve resource efficiency and project sustainability, and implement eco-friendly strategies within infrastructure development.

The initiative targeted Ministry of Works employees, positioning staff to lead eco-conscious initiatives in public works through exploration of real-world applications combining AI and sustainable practices.

CECEC framed this workshop as part of its broader strategy to integrate environmental responsibility with technological advancement in the public sector, described as "a vital step" toward building "smarter, greener futures."
