Mid-term spring exams start at Gulf University

The mid-term spring exams of the academic year 2017/2018 for students enrolled in this semester began on Saturday and they are scheduled to continue until Thursday, November 23rd.
Dr. Ehab Nazmi, Chairman of the Exam Committee, said: ‘Examinations are conducted in a serene atmosphere, following the rules and procedures of Gulf University and the recommendations of the Higher Education Council in the Kingdom of Bahrain.’
He added that: ‘We sought the cooperation of the students in the exam hall and their full compliance with the instructions of the Exam Committee which was explained in advance to them. They were informed through announcements distributed throughout the university and clarified again at the exam hall before the start of the exam.
The exam committee chair explained that: ‘The exam is conducted in different stages. First, the exam questions are submitted and moderated internally by a specialized committee. Second, they are submitted for external moderation. All this is to ensure the integrity of the questions and see if they measure the intended learning outcomes. The procedure reflects the requirements of the Quality Assurance Authority for Education and Training in the Kingdom of Bahrain. ‘
Ahmed Al Masifer, head of the students council, said: ‘We thank Gulf University for providing a calm atmosphere for the students to be able to do their examinations with ease. Also, I would like to extend my appreciation to the examination committee and the faculty, we promise to have the best and highest grades.’
