ArchiCAD 22 workshop has been conducted by a senior student (Abdulrahman Gamal) from Interior Design Engineering Programme as an initiative to train the Interior Design engineering students to increase their skills in using this softwear program tools to design interior spaces. This workshop focused on using 2D and 3D tools such as plan, sections, perspective.
The workshop started on 23/10/2018 for six days, about 15 students participated in this workshop; it was a new knowledge for the students in addition to other softwear programs that already tought in their courses such as AutoCAD, Photoshop, Rivet Autodesk.
‘48 Hours to Innovate:
In terms of innovation, the role of an engineer is to find solutions to complex problems, from the design to the marketing of a product, system or service. To achieve this, he can count on his training, which provides him with the necessary knowledge in engineering sciences and management, without forgetting to take into account the factor. This competition was conducted on 29/11/2018 in Gulf University and 9 IDE students participated in this competition.
Five students from Interior Design Engineering program/Gulf University have been participated in portfolio competition conducted by University of Kingdom/Interior design department.
The students designed their portfolios based on the required critiria including their projects through their study life in Gulf Univeristy. The first and second wineres were from our program. The students Abdulrahamn Gamal is the first and Ahmad Husnni is the second. The participants have been invited to attend the cermonay event on 8th Jan 2019 in Kingdom University. The winners students were awarded by the prisedent of Kingdom University.
Interior Design Engineering Department Exhibition
The architectural and Interior Design Engineering Department has organized the first exhibition in Gulf University on 7th February 2019 on Thursday in ground floor and second floor in Gulf University in presence the president of University Dr. Muhannad Almashhadani and Dr. Osama Alrawi Dean of Engineering College and a number of students, alumni and stakeholders in the field of interior design.
The exhibition included 30 creative projects for students from different study levels and the provects cover some design courses such as Interior Design 1, 2,3,4 and 5, Basic Design, Design with color and light, Furniture Design, Graduation projects, Media studio design.
