Teaching & Learning Statement

In 2010, I was hired as Teaching Assistant at Radio and TV Department at Cairo University. I hold a master’s degree and a PhD in Broadcast Journalism.

Since 2010, I have taught Broadcast Journalism in higher education at Cairo University in Egypt, Sultan Qaboos University in Oman, and Gulf University in Bahrain. I designed various media modules such as television production, editing for radio and television, broadcast report and dialogue, news broadcast, and documentary film production. My teaching approach is based on the PBL (Project Based- Learning), which provides personal and collective autonomy. This complements my industry background as a documentary filmmaker for five years.

Experience

I’m an assistant professor of Broadcast Journalism. I have 11 years of experience in the academic and professional field. I have worked in Egypt, Oman, and Bahrain.

Research Interest

The main research interest is Radio and Television Production, whether on technical aspects or content and related to this content in terms of ethics and abilities to influence the audience.
